Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Charges have been filed against an Altoona man who attempted to rob the Frankstown Road Sheetz in Blair County Thursday.
Online court dockets show that James Clemens, 44, was arraigned Friday and is currently being held at the Blair County Prison after being unable to post bail.
Court dockets show Clemens has been charged with one felony count of robbery with threat of immediate serious injury, one felony count of aggravated assault with attempt to cause serious bodily injury, one felony count of aggravated assault with attempt to cause bodily injury with a deadly weapon, one count of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize, one count of possession of an instrument of crime with intent and one count of simple assault.
Court dockets also show that Clemens has a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 4.

Authorities say the suspect accused of attempting to rob the Frankstown Sheetz in Blair County has been taken into custody.
Police identified the suspect as 44-year-old James Clemens, of Altoona.
Investigators say Clemens reportedly entered the store around 7:30 p.m. Thursday and began talking with the staff.
Police say he reportedly stayed in or around the store for over two hours, and at approximately 9:30 p.m., he allegedly entered the employee area, behind the registers, and brandished a knife.
Authorities say Clemens reportedly held the knife above his head and "lunged" towards an employee while yelling, "give me all the money in the register!"
Police say employee reportedly backed away from Clemens, at which time he then fled the store.
Authorities say Clemens was identified as the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Police say Clemens was taken into custody Friday without incident.
Officials say he is being held at the Blair County Prison while he awaits arraignment.

Authorities in Logan Township are searching for an "armed and dangerous" suspect accused of attempted to rob a local Sheetz store.
Police say the unidentified man reportedly committed the attempted armed robbery at the Frankstown Sheetz, located along Frankstown Road.
Police chief David Hoover says the suspect entered the store around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, allegedly sat in the store for approximately 10 minutes and then proceeded to go behind the counter.
Investigators say the suspect reportedly brandished a knife and demanded cash from an employee.
Authorities say the suspect then reportedly fled the store in the area of Stillwood Street.
Sheetz is deeply saddened by the violence that took place during an attempted robbery at our store on Frankstown Road last night. We are grateful no one was injured and are doing everything we can to support our employees involved in this incident. The safety of our employees and customers is a top priority at Sheetz. Each store is monitored by numerous video cameras both inside and outside the store and we have a number of safeguards in place which allow our employees to notify local officials as soon as an emergency situation develops.
